Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (518) 464-9900. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is marisasplacepizza.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 486 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Guilderland and suggests consistent service.
Guilderland is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Guilderland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Went there for the first time last night. Thought it was a take out place and I was Pleasantly Surprised that it also had a sit down nice little Restaurant with a wonderful full menue . We both ordered the Meatballs and they were ABSOLUTELY Great. I ordered mine with Penne Pasta and a Salad. We also order Garlic Knots and Pasta Fagiola. Everything was Cook and Prepared Correctly and the Service was GREAT. We were looking for a Good Pizza Place and found both the Pizza Place along with finding a Really Super Italian Restaurant.

Top 5 Pizza in the Albany area. Easily best pizza in guilderland. Crust is crispy but never burnt. Sauce is prefect. Service is always good. You need to order in advance, but when you do, your food is always ready in your time slot. Very worth the effort. I go every week and it never misses.

Marisa’s Pizza is, without question, the absolute best pizza experience I’ve ever had in Albany, New York—nothing else even comes close. From the very first bite, you can tell there’s something special about this place; the pizza is consistently incredible, easily the greatest slice I’ve had in the area, with the kind of flavor that keeps you thinking about it long after you leave. But what makes Marisa’s truly unforgettable goes far beyond the food—it’s the entire experience. The atmosphere has this amazing cozy, almost speakeasy-like vibe that makes every visit feel like more than just grabbing pizza; it feels like stepping into a place with real character and energy. The service is always exceptional, and that consistency says a lot—everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and authentic, which makes such a difference. You can tell the people there truly care about creating a great experience for every customer. For me, Marisa’s Pizza is more than just a pizza spot; it’s a place tied to some really great memories, a place I genuinely enjoy returning to again and again because it always feels familiar, comforting, and special. No matter how many other places I try, Marisa’s will alw

My wife and I dined in because we heard that they focus on in house customers more so than take out. That's why there is a long wait if you try to order to go. Anyway, we got the meatballs as an appetizer. They were delicious. Light, soft, and flavorful. Even the sauce was amazing with chunks of tomatoes in it. We were eating the sauce after all the meatballs were gone. (You get three.) For pizza, we ordered a large cupped pepperoni pie. I normally gauge a pizza place by their plain pie but they had cupped pepperoni and couldn't resist. The pie arrived at our table. First bite and we were in heaven. The pizza was thin, light, crisp on the bottom and the outside crust was airy and crispy. The sauce and cheese were just as good as the meatballs and the cupped pepperoni put it over the top. We only ate half the pie because I wanted to take some to work the next day. The bottom doesn't stay crisp - (it's got a lot of stuff on top and you have to account for gravity). But, the outer crust was still light, crisp and flavorful. We finished the evening with a shared slice of cheesecake. Not as dense as NJ diner cheesecake but a winner of an Italian cheesecake. This place spoiled me on

rare 5 star review. there’s 2 entrances; one for slices and pickup and a nice dark dining and bar area. very friendly staff for lunch. casual vibe but upscale interior. dedicated lunch or regular menu. classy decor. comparable prices to other restaurants. pizza was excellent and salad may have been even better. pizza was 14inch personal cheese. high expectations and high quality results. shoutout the decent bar seated crowd for 1pm. 🍻🍺
